      在微软.Net的绞杀下，人才的流失，Delphi 8的惨败，Borland遭遇了空前的危机。在Microsoft欲借.Net一统江湖的淫威下，Borland匆忙应战，推出Delphi 8，结果非但没能吸引住原来的Delphi用户，更将大量的用户无情地送上了MS的怀胞。Borland能否再铸昔日辉煌，Delphi 2005就成了背水一战，因此BorCon 2004也比以往任何一届都更被世人所关注。然而，就在Borland忙着欲借Delphi 2005重整雄风时，Kylix与C++ Build却一直杳无音讯。终于，有人坐不住了，几百位来自世界各地的精英们，共同联名给Borland写了这封公开信。

      你为要自杀呢？（Why Kill Yourself?）
      我们用BCB计算民用建筑的结构：这必须在C++中才能解决，而不是在C#中.（We use BCB for calculation of structure of civil building: the solver must be in C++, not in a C#. ）
      请不要停止C++ Builder. 最好最好的工具是C++ Builder和Delphi.（Please do not stop C++ Builder. The best of best tools are C++ Builder and Delphi.）
