Program introduction

As an early career development for high potential young graduates to accumulate cross BU knowledge/skills to be future leaders, Challenge Program is a 3.5 years rotation program (starting from July 2012) across all Business Units (BUs) and Functions in China in order to get an overall experience in BP China.

Positions include:

Ÿ
Supply Chain Planner, Aromatics Asia

Working Location: Shanghai

Roles & Responsibilities:  
 
1. Maintain track records of logistic performance and generate analysis reports
2. Logistic cost analysis and support in identification and realization of cost savings in logistics in co-operation with the commercial, operation teams
3. Collect information of Logistics service providers and establish a master data pool of domestic logistic service providers (ports, road transporters, shipping companies and FAs)
4. Provide support to project development (logistic design for Z3 etc)
5. Documentation and maintenance of the internal procedures, as well as experience made in regards of development and optimizations of logistics operation
6. Support in planning process optimization by coordination with commercial, operation and CSR teams

Essential Requirements:
 
 
1. University degree, majoring in business related (e.g. Supply Chain and Logistics or related)
2. Good analytical skills
3. Good in both oral and written English

Core Competencies:
 
 
 
1. Ability to communicate and cooperate
2. Team spirit

        Market Executive, Acetyls
Working Location: Shanghai
Roles & Responsibilities:    
1. Collect and process AA market information including but no limit to:
- price of feedstock, AA and downstream derivatives
- competitor intelligence and new project update
- trading flow, and industry profitability
2. Monitor financial environment and analyze its impact on AA market
3. Generate regular market report as request.
4. Managing external consultant and price reporting agency
5. Assist in regular sales and marketing meetings, as well as special marketing events.
6. Represent China in Global Optimization weekly TC
7. Deliver ad-hoc market studies

Essential Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above, majoring in Economy or Management preferred      
2. Strong numerical and analytic skills
3. Basic macro & micro economics understanding
4. Basic statistic understanding
5. Strong in Excel, PowerPoint and word.65. Fluent English, both oral and written
7. Petrochemical background will be preferred.
8. Working experience in petrochemical or commodity trading will be preferred.
